Since my work includes babies, safety and hygiene are the most important subjects. Anything that is around a newborn needs to be safe enough for the little one’s gentle skin, fragile body and near non-existent immune system. So it is important for me to put into play the best health and safety procedures.
Cleaning and sanitizing the studio is the first important step. I prepare the studio for the session with safe and organic cleaners. I also repeat the cleaning process and air the entire studio after each session.
My studio is pet and smoke free. And there is only meticulously chosen props. This way, it is a safe space that makes the newborn and the parents comfortable.
Just in case of smelly incidents, there is also available hypoallergenic soap and shampoo that is free of dyes and perfumes, so that babies with sensitive skin will be better protected against harsh chemicals.
One of the most important things is that, I never leave a baby unattended. Baby is spotted at all times.
Supporting the head and neck is a priority. I am mindful of the babies, and make sure that they feel nice and secure at all times. And I never force a baby into a pose.
In my work and studio, safety and health is more important then getting the shot. Once we are all clear on the precautions, we can go on with the session.
Our Additional Covid-19 Precautions
My crew and I will be wearing surgical gloves and masks all throughout the session.
Prior to and after each session; all the props used are cleaned with non-chemical and hypoallergenic disinfectants, and the studio area is ventilated for at least 10 minutes.
